Winter Camp

Momma Melly said we had to head up to camp a little early to get things set up. I wasn't quite ready for camp so I didn't have my tablet, my video games, or the other fun stuff I like to do when Momma and Grammy Nilla are setting up for camps.

The cabin was quiet and chilly, Momma wouldn't let me have a fire to roast marshmallows. Well, at least she had lots of blankets on the sofa. I kept looking around the cabin and found a train set to play with.

The train was fun for a while. but I started getting bored again. I looked for some books or other toys to play with. Would you believe it Momma didn't even pack the toys. Gammy Nilla found me a doll and a reindeer to play with and laid out a nice red plaid sleeping bag for me.

I slipped into my pajamas and plaid with them for a bit. I went to explore the drawers on the coffee table but found nothing but dust bunnies.

I checked out the chimney and the fireplace. We had plenty of wood for roasting things. I counted the stockings. There were not enough for all the scouts that would show up for the sleepover mini winter camp. I wasn't even sure Momma would have room for us all in this one cabin.

Then I slid into the sleeping bag. I found a coloring book and crayons. Gammy Nilla's the best. I colored for a bit long. Then I started drifting off to sleep. I hope I don't miss all the winter arrival fun.
